‘Perfect fit’ – Rio Ferdinand feels Kane would make Man Utd great again

The Red Devils need to break the bank to bring the celebrity English duo to Old Trafford, according to Man Utd legend, Rio Ferdinand.

Manchester United should pay whatever it takes to signal England internationals Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho, based on Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand.

Borussia Dortmund prodigy Sancho has been linked with a move to United – with speculation growing that the 20-year-old is prepared to sign on the dotted line in Old Trafford.

Tottenham talisman Kane was on the books of the north London side his entire senior career, but lately did not commit to the club when asked about his future.

Ferdinand considers Kane has started dropping hints about what he wants and United and some of Europe’s greatest clubs will swoop in with enormous offers.

“Harry has always been coy and held back, but he has dropped a few bombs,” Ferdinand said in an Instagram Q&A.

“He has been waiting for the fantasy at Spurs to materialise but it has not happened.

“Do you think Harry will be happy, fulfilled and satisfied if he scores goals, breaks records but with no decorations in the end of his career? No. He is going to be angry and devastated.

“I believe that statement means Harry is away, he needs to win prizes and that will alert clubs.

“I understand Man Utd will be in for him since that sort of player is excellent for them.

“He’ll go for bread that is enormous, at least #130m in the market today.”

After failing to find a start at Manchester City, Sancho abandoned for Dortmund in 2017 and has grown into one of the hottest talents in world football – scoring 31 goals and getting 42 assists in just 90 looks for the Bundesliga club.

Ferdinand is adamant that United and Sancho are an ideal game together, and he believes the youngster has the capacity to become of the superstars of the game.

“I need Jadon to go to a team where he’ll play, enhance and get trophies definitely.”

“Of course, he’s got to. If he wears the seven (shirt), he’s got to be there for another 10 years. That is what the shirt deserves and demands.

“He is flying and among the best young kids on the planet right now. He is a player with enormous potential and will go for over £100m.

“You’re buying someone for a decade at your club, it is massive cash but I would take him and risk it.

“You say, ‘You’ are going to be the player we build a group around and the person who will get us decorations.’ He has the X-factor, abilities, beats and excites people.

“If you go to Real, Barca, United, these stadiums wish to get excited and get them off their chair.

“He has all of the potential to be a complete humongous superstar. He brings the playground into the stadium.”
