Serge Aurier is not expecting to see out his playing days at Tottenham, together with the French full-back expecting to procure a return to Paris Saint-Germain at a certain point.
The 27-year-old defender departed Parc des Princes during the summertime window of 2017. He’d spent two seasons with the club he supported as a boy, along with his stock rising enough to convince Spurs he had been worth a £23 million investment.
Aurier hasn’t enjoyed the smoothest of rides in English football, with questions having been requested of his future at regular periods.
He has, nevertheless, earned favour beneath current boss Jose Mourinho. That’s quietened the move talk for now, but Aurier admits he plans to retrace his steps back into PSG and potentially finish his career in the French capital.

“I would like to finish at PSG. It’s before everything else the club of the heart. I’ve a feeling of unfinished business.
“It’s been my club since I was a kid, I’d go watch games at the Parc des Princes. It was a fantasy for me to come to PSG and also for me that dream is not finished.
“When I was to finish my career at PSG, I’d love that. I might have spent my whole career at PSG, which certainly would not have upset me. When you play for the club of your heart, you do not wish to go anyplace else nor do you have regrets.
“There are players who have spent their entire careers at the same club since it is love. It is not a question of money or anything else. My family is in Paris, I’m Parisian, I cannot dream of better.
“Today I am having my little career elsewhere, I expect to be the best a bit everywhere. I’m following PSG from afar, but it remains my heart and that will not change.”
He’s still waiting on a first piece of big silverware, having previously accumulated 11 honours during his comparatively short spell with PSG.
