After starting the season brightly Spurs have now lost the last two successive games. In game week four they lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace and in game week five they lost 3-0 to Chelsea.

Nuno Espirito Santo failed to react to Tuchel’s second half improvisation. Tuchel’s second half changes ensured that the Blues took all three from the away victory. In a similar fashion, they failed to impact the game against Crystal Palace. The strike due of Son and Kane has so far failed to put Tottenham on top.

Let’s have a look at the stats and see what went wrong with Spurs.

In the game against Palace, they just had two shots in the entire game. In the recent game against Chelsea despite creating a couple of chances in the first half they failed to beat the deadlock. Nuno Espirito Santo had no answers to Tuchel’s second-half substitution. Their defenders have been unable to hold the fort in the defence.

Looking at the stats it seems like Nuno Espirito Santo needs to fix both his attacking and defensive issues. Spurs have conceded a total of six goals in the last two league games, without having anything to show in return.
